Procedure

2 Method
2.1 Check that the Oven has a current calibration to BMTS-CP-004.
2.2 Measure the Oven temperature.
2.3 After one hour repeat the Oven temperature measurement.
2.4 Repeat 2.3 until the Oven temperature is stable.
2.3 Prepare sufficient distilled water to make five specimens for each shelf of the oven.
2.4 Bring the temperature of the distilled water to the initial calibration temperature.
2.5 Weigh 500g of Distilled Water into the Griffin beakers.
2.6 Place the beakers and water into the oven as per Rate of Evaporation Table, below (All positions are viewed
from the front of the Oven). Record the time.
2.7 Leave the beakers and water in the Oven for four hours minimum.
2.8 Remove the beakers and water from the Oven. Record the time.
2.9 Weigh the water filled beakers.
