Tar-Modified Polyurethane Base Elastomeric Crack & Joints Sealer

Description Chemseal - KR is a elastomeric joint Sealant.


Consisting of polyurethane synthetic resins and coaltar.
When installed into horizontal expansion and construction
joints it provides a flexible seal with resistance to
fuel and minerals oils.

Uses Chemseal - KR is used in particular for the sealing
of concrete pavement joints where fuel resistance is
required such as:
- Aircraft taxiways and runways
- Underpasses, Calvert Joints
- Parking aprons & hangars
- Maintenance bays and garages.
- Vehicle washing facilities
- Re-fuelling areas
- Storages for fuel oils
- Highways, Rigid Pavement joints
- Concrete & Asphalt joints

Storage Condition Store in original sealed containers in a cool and dry

Application Details

Joint configuration - Minimum joint width 8 mm
- Maximum joint width 40 mm
- Minimum joint depth 8 mm
- Width /depth ratio for expansion joints: 1:1 to 1:1.5
- Width /depth ratio for construction joints: 1: 1 to 1:2

Substrate All surfaces must be sound, clean, dry and free from
Preparation: all loosely adhering particles. Priming is not
required.

Application The Chemseal - KR is poured without delay either from
the melter-pourer or with prepared clean and dry joints.
Avoid air entrapment pouring. Protect from water/rain for
first 24 hours. Silicate powder can be mixed with
Chemseal KR with the ratio of 1: 0.5Kg (if required)

Cleaning Clean all tools and equipment immediately after
use with suitable solvent.

Remarks Do no use for joints in bituminous paving. Not
suitable for contact with drinking water.

Safety
________________________________________________________
Precautions 1.Wear goggles and gloves during
application. In case of contact with eye
rinse immediately with clean water and
seek medical attention without delay.
2. If swallowed or if vapours are inhaled move
to fresh air. Seek medical advice.
3. Remove immediately contaminated clothing
after application. Wash hands after work
with plenty of soap and water.
