Time Lesson Procedure Materials

5 At beginning of hour, Teacher will choose participants Dice,

mins for BRAWL by using dice stick notes,
o Those who are chosen will sit in inner circle writing
o Everyone else will sit at computers, and begin utensil
logging into back channel
Teacher will provide code
First name, last name, group number
Can earn points for team
3-5 After participants are chosen, Teacher will review
mins rules for discussion
o Each person in the circle will respond to 1 of
the discussion questions
o Responses earn 5-50 pts based on quality of
the response Comput
o After each response is complete, members ers, copy of
from the outside circle will have opportunity to add to brawl
or debate a response (only 2x per person) questions
After all participants have finished,
each group will have 2 mins to select an
additional question to respond to
Can be a new or old question
Can be any person from the
group
Can earn 5-50 pts depending
on quality of response
o After instructions are done, Teacher will ask
45- for any clarification questions. Class will start
50 mins BRAWL after questions are resolved
Teacher will keep track of
 pts/deductions during BRAWL
o After BRAWL is complete, Teacher will give
instructions for remainder of activity
