United Nations was founded after the WWII by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Its main goal was to maintain peace and never let a war start again. 51 countries
committed to this goal. United Nations also aids the world by addressing issues such as
climate change, atomic energy, food, etc. The efforts put forth by the United Nations has
earned them awards such as Peabody Award, Nobel Peace Prize, and Academy Award
One of the important issues the United Nations addresses is population. In the
1950s the world population stood at 2.6 billion. It then increased to 5 billion in 1987 and
then increased to 6billion in 1999. Today the world population stands at 7 billion. The

on this issue for a while. The Population has been gathering about international
migration and development, urbanization, world population and polices, and marriage
statistics. The United Nations is currently working with many other countries around the
world to create population polices. The United Nation population fund started in 1969 to

caused the United Nations to address the large issues over atomic energy. The United
Nations founded the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The IAEA works with
other countries to promote the safe uses of nuclear energy. The United Nations has put
together very important rules and regulations over the use of atomic energy.
The United Nation does many things to help and maintain peace. Since it was
founded the United Nations has address more than 100 issues from keeping food prices
low to stopping war. The United Nation along with its five key parts is responsible for the
