One room school house field trip opportunity for 4th grade. Students came from all over
the area to experience a mock historical school day. The lesson I taught covered the
three Rs of learning (reading writing and rithmatic) we read from historical books,
practiced mathematics on slate, wrote cursive with quill pens and had a brief lesson on
diversity and the county system. During lunch we taught the students how to play
several historical games and had a student participate in a pretend prank to teach a
lesson about discipline.
