a. Daily activities :
teacher puts up pictures of Ashwinis activities on the board
teacher provides sentence structures as guidance (refer to AB page 1)
teacher asks questions pertaining to Ashwinis daily activities
teacher asks questions to encourage active participation
teacher introduces sequence connectors like first, then, next, after that
etc....
teacher models examples
Mainstream:
o pupils work in pairs
o pupils talk about their daily activities with their friends with
pictures guidance from AB page 1
Linus:
o pupils work in groups to tell their friends about their daily
activities
o teacher provides sentence strips (pictures refer to AB page
1)
o pupils may use the pictures and sentence strips as guidance
o for low proficiency pupils, they may listen and repeat after
teacher
b. Listen and number:
teacher explains to pupils how to do this listening activity
teacher says what Ashwini does using connectors
pupils number the activity
Linus: teacher may conduct a separate listening activity with the pupils
teacher checks the answers with the pupils
