Capital punishment shouldnt be used anymore, because there are lots of things

wrong with it. What if someone is executed, and later found innocent. Capital

punishment has also been proven that it is not an effective deterrent of crime. Studies

have shown that the more executions the higher the crime, especially murders. Also

when on death row people are not given the chance to show that they can change, and

become a better person. The death penalty is murder, so should the executor be

punished, they are torturing another person. This is wrong, we only do this to people

that attain information that is necessary for the United States. While on death row an ex-

gang member changed himself, and wrote books about young people staying off the

streets, and staying out of a gang because they involve lots of violence.

Studies show that the crime rate in death penalty states, and non-death penalty

states have about a 50% difference in crime rates. The death penalty states have more

crime. A majority of Americans support the death penalty. Most people in favor of capital

punishment believe that it is the only just penalty for some crimes, like murder and rape,

also like sex offenders that rape little kids. There is still no evidence that the death

penalty is a deterrent of crime.

What if you execute a person, and they are proven innocent what can you do the

damage is already done. This is a waste of money and you can be sued for executing

the wrong person. Death is a cruel and unusual punishment, the United States is the

dreamland where lots of people come here to work. What if they hear about this what if
we lose contact to all other countries because we are cruel to our citizens. We need to

stop using the death penalty unless there is like a serial killer with plans to kill more

people or a chain rapist. This is the only reason why we should use it, it shouldnt be

used on a regular basis for like murder, but they havent been given a chance to prove

their self to people.

People arent given the chance to change, they will always think they are up to

no good, so they wont go out and do it again once they are released thats why people

are in jail for a long time for murder or just executed. But people are on death row, for a

long time, not just a week or two, because they have to make sure that they have

apprehended the right person. And people can change thats like saying you cant

change your ways as a child. Also the death penalty punishes the poor most of the

people that are executed are people that have no representation, and are proven guilty.
