Part 2: Reflection
-A brief summary of the assignment and how its an example of at least one threshold concept.
I am glad I took English 2100 with Mrs. Traci Grant. I had a great semester. One of my
favorite papers is the memo about blood pressure. I feel some confidence about writing the
memo now, because at the first when I wrote the memo it was hard for me to write it out. Im so
glad after the first time I got to fix it and know how to do it and make my life easier. The concept of
memo is to help the teacher know what we are talking about and our project included an
audience, topic purpose statement, context of use, word choice, organization, images, proximity,
and call to action. The most important thing in this project is to help me to know whom I am
writing to and what will make my audience more interested in my project.

-What you learned in this class.


I have learned about writing in this class and how I can improve my writing. At the
beginning of the class we had to write the resume. I loved it. Now when I need a job I dont have
to worry about the resume, because I already know the best way to write the resume and cover
letter. Thank you for teaching me about those.

-discussion of at least 2 course goals and how the assignments/work you did reflect those goals.
The first one is collaborating with team members to complete the writing project. At first I
thought group work would be the most difficult thing to do, because we all had jobs, classes, ,and
other things in our life. I was worried that my group would not get everything done on time,but
when I got to work with my group they were great at it. Each of us knew what we should do and
got it done on time.
The second one is Design and format documents according to genre conventions.
I got to know the design and format documents that I will use when I write to some one or when
Im writing to get a job. I know what design and format documents I have to write it on, also what I
should and what I shouldnt write.

-Discussion of how the threshold concepts will guide your writing in future classes.
The first one is collaborating with team members to complete the writing project. Being a
nurse you have to work with other people and I have to communicate with my team at work.
The second one is Design and format documents according to genre conventions. When
something happens with my patient, I have to know when and what kind of format to document
this problem.

-How you will use what you learned in this class in your work/college career.
I for sure will use the technical description in my college career because I will need to
describe what I learned and how I will use it. Also I will do the same thing in my future work.

-What was the easiest part of this class.


Its how the teacher was willing to help me out and be patient with me when I did some
work wrong and gave me a time to fix it.

-What was the most difficult part of this class, and how you overcome it.
The InDesign is the most difficult part of this class. I had to stay at the library to get all of
my work in InDesign done. Not only that, I had to ask some friends and the people working in the
library to help me out with how to use the InDesign and print it. Im glad that I got it done because
the library was open until midnight.
