I) What is global warming

II) What is the Greenhouse

III) What causes global warming

IV) Consequences

V) Conclusion and Solutions

I. Definition :
- Global warming is when the earth heats up and the temperatura increases.
- More recently, the temperatures have been rising, causing more dangers for people,
animals, plants and our environment

II. The Greenhouse Effect

- The greenhouse effect is when the temperature goes up, on Earth, since the suns heat
and light energy is trapped in the earths atmosphere.
- While the heat has trouble leaving back out our atmosphere.

III. Causes of Global Warming :

The cause of global warming is the increasing quantity of greenhouse gases in the
our atmosphere produced by human activities, like the burning of fossil fuels or
deforestation. These activities produce large amounts of greenhouse gas emissions
which is causing global warming.

Greenhouse gases trap heat in the Earth's atmosphere to keep the planet warm
enough to sustain life, this process is called the greenhouse effect.

Its a natural process and without these gases, the Earth would be too cold for
humans, plants and other creatures to live.

The natural greenhouse effect exists due to the balance of the major types of
greenhouse gases. However, when abnormally high levels of these gases accumulate
in the air, more heat starts getting trapped and leads to the enhancement of the
greenhouse effect. Human-caused emissions have been increasing greenhouse levels
which is raising worldwide temperatures and driving global warming.

- Global warming is affecting many parts of the world, including melting glaciers, creating
thev sea to rise even more, and when that happens, the water covers many low land
- One of the most visible effects of global warming can be seen in the Arctic as
glaciers, permafrost and sea ice are melting rapidly.
- Global warming also destroys many huge forests. Global warming is also causing many
more fires that wipe out whole forests. This happens because global warming can make
the earth very hot. In forests, some plants and trees leaves can be so dry that can catch
on fire.

- Catastrophic weather such as hurricanes will increase

- Melting polar icecaps will raise ocean levels, the arctic ocean could be ice free in
summer by 2050
- Heat waves, droughts and wildfires will be more frequent

Global warming is affecting plants, animals, humans and the earth. We need to learn how to
conserve our use of fossil fuels to minimize carbon dioxide production. This will slow down the
effects of global warming.

- Reduce the gases we emit to the atmosphere: Less driving means fewer emissions.
Besides saving gasoline, walking and biking are great forms of exercise. When you do
drive, make sure your car is running efficiently. Every gallon of gas you save not only
helps your budget, it also keeps 20 pounds of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.
- Use the "Off" Switch
- Save electricity and reduce global warming by turning off lights when you leave a room,
and using only as much light as you need. And remember to turn off your television,
stereo and computer when you're not using them. Its also a good idea to turn off the
water when youre not using it. While brushing your teeth, shampooing the dog or
washing your car, turn off the water until you actually need it for rinsing.
- Stop factories pollution
- Encourage Others to Conserve : Share information about recycling and energy
conservation with your friends, neighbours and co-workers, and take opportunities to
encourage public officials to establish programs and policies that are good for the
- Use solar power energy
- Plant trees : If you have the means to plant a tree, start digging. Trees absorb carbon
dioxide and give off oxygen. A single tree will absorb approximately one ton of carbon
dioxide during its lifetime.
