Packaging and labelling regulation in Israel

Packaging Israel has strict marking and labeling requirements that frequently
differ from those of other countries. The packing should comply with the
consumer protection law.

Nutritional labeling is compulsory on all packaged foods. For further

Packaging and LabelingThe information provided should be always written in
Hebrew. English can also be used but the size of the letters should not be
bigger than the Hebrew letters. The English and Hebrew texts should be

In"Obligatory. Labeling RequirementsThe following should be mentioned:
country of origin, name and address of the producer, name and address of
the Israeli importer, description of the content and the weight or volume in
metric units.

For food products which have not been prepared according to the

which could lead to believe that these are made according to them. For
