Title of Artifact: Observation 2: Planning Standard: Standard Seven Planning for Instruction The teacher plans instruction that supports every student in meeting rigorous learning goals by drawing upon knowledge of content areas, curriculum, cross-disciplinary skills, and pedagogy, as well as knowledge of learners and the community context.
I am placing my artifact, Observation 2: Planning, under Standard Seven- Planning for
Instruction as evidence of continued mastery towards creating a classroom to maximize student learning. Environment and scheduling has a direct effect on students and their lives. In my observation, I noticed that the schedule was concise and easy for the students to adapt to. My only recommendation was to allow students to incorporate their interests into the schedule. When students are interested in the content, they become excited to learn. This observation is evidence of my understanding of planning in the classroom to best benefit students.
