Title of Artifact: Service Learning Hours Fall
Standard: Standard Nine Professional Learning The teacher engages in ongoing individual
and collaborative professional learning designed to impact practice in ways that lead to improved
learning for each student, using evidence of student achievement, action research, and best
practice to expand a repertoire of skills, strategies, materials, assessments, and ideas to increase
student learning.

I am placing my artifact, Service Learning Hours, under Standard Nine- Professional Learning,
as evidence of continued mastery towards expanding my knowledge on student achievement and
development. I learned about the schedules and routines of a typical classroom. During my
observations, I got to experience some of the roles and expectations of a teacher. Throughout my
time volunteering at the YMCA, I learned about creating effective environments and managing
behavior. This is evidence of my understanding of supporting and guiding students to help them
achieve their goals.
