Title of Lesson: Edvard Munch Scream
Part 1: Evaluation
Objective 1: The Children will enhance their independence by
participating in creating their emotions artwork independently.
o Met

Outcome: This objective was met because the children worked on their artwork
alone without help from any of the teachers. The children also used their own ideas
of what they wanted to draw without using the idea of their classmates. The
children also did what was told to them.

Follow-Up: A follow up activity that I could probably be able to do with the children
is have them work on this project in groups to see they would be able to cooperate
with each other without any help from the teacher. I would also like to see how
their artwork would come out.

Objective 2: The Children will enhance their verbal communication skills


by summarizing their artwork about their emotions to the class.
o Met

Outcome: This objective was met because people who are usually told to speak
about something in front of the class are usually shy and dont want to come up
but instead the children were really excited to share their artwork with the class.
The children explained their artwork to their peers and then I asked them based of
the picture how does it relate to how they feel and they explained it very well.

Follow-Up: A follow up activity that I would do in this lesson to enhance the


childrens verbal communication is have them have a conversation with one of
their peers and have them compare and contrast each others artwork.

Objective 3: The Children will enhance their attention skills by examining


their peers artwork about their emotions.
o Met
Outcome: This objective was met because all of the children paid attention to all
the students that had a chance to speak. The children was also given a chance to
talk about the other childs artwork after looking at it. When the child that was
speaking showed everyone else their artwork I asked the children to guess what
emotion they chose. This showed if the children were paying attention to their
classmates.

Follow-Up: A follow up activity that I would do to ensure they enhanced their


attention skills during this activity is not only to ask how do they think the person is
feeling but also to also guess what this picture is.

2. What specific parts of the activity were most successful? Provide 3


examples to support your response.
One part of the activity that was successful was when I showed
pictures of different children on the smart board through power
point and the children had to guess how each child felt. This went
successful because they knew the answers except for one but one
child eventually got it and the children were also taking turns to
speak. What was also successful was when the children spoke about
their artwork. They talked about what their artwork was and related
it to how they felt. One other thing that was successful was when
the children got to work independently and got to express how they
felt.

3. Describe any difficulties or challenges you encountered.


Were you adequately planned and prepared?
The one difficulty that I have faced during this lesson was trying to
get to play music on the smart board while they were working on
their artwork. The smartboard was giving me a little trouble and the
speakers was not hooked up to the laptop so it would have took up
some time If I tried to get it to work during the lesson.

4. How would you address the difficulties and/or challenges if it


happened again?

Instead of this type of difficulty happened again I would try to bring


something of my own to play because sometimes the smartboard gives
issues.
