V. Directions / Steps / Process [Parts A, B C]:

A. Motivation
I will ask the children if they like drawing, coloring, or painting. I will introduce the artist Edvard
Munch.

B. Steps

1. I will ask the children if they like drawing, coloring, or painting.


2. I will show a picture of Edvard Munch on the smart board and tell them that this is the artist is
created the artwork called scream.
3. I will show a picture of the artwork Scream.
4. I will say as you can see here in this picture there is someone screaming, how do you think the
person is feeling?
5. I will show the children on the smart board pictures of children with different emotions and ask the
children if they know how the child is feeling.
6. I will say to the children know we get to draw pictures of ourselves showing how we feel at the
moment.
7. I will lay out different colors of construction paper.
8. I will call each child to pick out the color of construction paper that they want to go sit down
9. The children will work on their picture independently
10. When a child says that they are finished, I will tell them to pick a book and sit on the rug
11. When every child is sitting on the rug, I will call each child to sit down on front of the class to show
their picture.
12. I will ask the class how do they think the other child is feeling the let the other child explain.
13. If there is a body part missing in the picture I will ask the child which body part is missing.
14. After each child explains their picture they will give it to the teacher to hang it up in the classroom.

Conclusion
After each child explains their picture they will give it to the teacher to hang it up in the classroom.

Transition
I will lay out different colors of construction paper.
I will call each child to pick out the color of construction paper that they want to go sit down .
