Dean Angeles joins
2 chancellors
in tree planting
D ean Domingo E. Angeles, together with former
Chancellor Rex Victor O. Cruz and newly in-
stalled Chancellor Fernando C. Sanchez, Jr. had a tree
planting activity in front of the Old Administration building
last October 29.
They planted Almaciga Agathis philippinensis, a spe-
cies of Agathis which is native to the Philippines; Sulawe-
si and Halmahera. Almaciga is the primary source of Ma-
nila copal and has high-quality timber with many uses.
Dean Angeles said before the tree planting that this
activity is a good way to welcome the new chancellor and
thank the former chancellor. These trees will be a sym-
bol of the legacy of Chancellor Cruz, and the seed of pro-
gram that must be nurtured during the term of Chancellor
Sanchez, he added. (Nahja P. Macatula)
