Tutorial: Tiki Toki

There are numerous sites of where one can do different kinds of timelines. Many of these

timelines are used throughout your education and have been very effective in guiding thru the

events in a chronological time. The one I am very fond of is Tiki Toki. Tiki Toki is a very

creative and effective way of a student to create a time line with descriptions. The purpose of my

tutorial is to explain to you how to use Tiki Toki effectively and to give you an idea of what kind

of tool Tiki Toki is.

I. Go to the website: www.tiki-toki.com

II. Create an account (The first timeline you create is free)
a. Create a username, a password, and you must use your email as well. (If you are

given a class code by your instructor please use it. Dont forget to accept the

terms and conditions.

III. Create a new timeline
a. Once you have created the timeline select the edit button
b. Select my timeline and click on create new story
c. When you get the dropdown screen, select title and name your timeline.
d. Select a date so that the timeline can be placed at the proper date of the event.

(make sure your start and end date are the same and leave the hours at zeros)

c. Finally, from the dropdown screen, select extra information.

V. Options

URLs

I decided to use Tiki-Toki because it is free and very easy to create. I like how we ae

able to add pictures and videos to the time line and more than one can be on same date. I

tried using another one of the sites for timelines, but I soon found out that Tiki-Tiki was

for me. I like how everything is very self-explained and students should have no trouble

in creating.
