Led by IBEW Local 611, the New Mexico Building Trades Council has overcome

a major hurdle in Federal District Court in its efforts to recover tens of millions of
dollars in underpayment of wages and benefits owed to thousands of New
Mexicos hard working construction craftsmen.

IBEW Local 611 Business Manager Carl Condit said in response to the ruling by
Senior U.S. District Court Judge James A. Parker, This is an important win for
our members in what is certain to be a long and hard fought battle with the anti-
worker administration currently calling the shots in New Mexico. Without the
courageous efforts of our members, standing together with our Local Unions,
skilled craftsmen are at the mercy of wage thieves and their allies running the
show in Santa Fe.

deliberately and arbitrarily deprived them of a protected property right by failing to
fulfill his statutory duty for four years, even after the New Mexico Supreme Court
was assured in June of 2011 that he would do so
