The Eiffel Tower was built in 1889 for the World Fair and to celebrate the 100-year
anniversary of the French Revolution. It is 1,063 feet (324 meters) high. To protect it
against the elements, the Eiffel Tower has to be painted about every seven years. It
takes a team of 25 painters, 60 tons (54,431 kilograms) of paint, and more than a year
