The Affordable Care Act should be available to everyone. What is the Affordable Care Act?
Its a new health care law that lowers health insurance for consumers with low income. Health
insurance can create a positive or negative impact in someones life. How, you may ask? It can
create a positive outcome by reducing medical bills and it can create a negative outcome by
I read in an article about Gillian Rhode, a 29 year woman who lives in New York, that
couldnt afford health insurance because it was more than her mortgage payment for all her
family, but she also didnt want to take the risk being without health insurance. If she happens to
get into an accident, medical bills will pile up and she knows she wont be able to pay it off.
Gillian said, We make enough money that we dont qualify for any subsidies, but not enough
money where spending thousands of dollars a month on health insurance is some insignificant
drop in the bucket. Many in the U.S are having the same issue. There are some risk takers, but
Those who do pay for health insurance are living in a financial crisis for obvious reasons.
People like Gillian would have to work overtime or get a second job to provide for their family.
Did you know that money is the sixth reason for divorces? High health insurance costs can
potentially be a family issue in the future and it can be stressful thinking about all the financial
obligations. Health insurance can be useful to people who need it, but its hurting a lot of people
financially with the high costs. Why does health insurance cost so much? Many of the reasons
why health insurance is expensive are because some have preexisting medical conditions, which
create a higher risk to the insurance companies to lose money. Companies increase premium to
consumers because their medical costs are likely to be greater than average.

We are currently under the impression that president Trump wants to remove Obama Care.
President Trump stated, Obamacare is collapsing and we must act decisively to protect all
Americans. This can hurt or help a lot of families in the U.S. It can hurt the people who
desperately need health insurance due to an illness that they have or it can help people who dont
need health insurance and bring back the income that they initially had. Those who dont have
health insurance dont have it because they are against it; they dont have it because they cant
afford it. If the affordable care act would help these people, our economic situation would be
better instead of taking more money and creating another burden in U.S families.
Illegal immigrants should be able to get Affordable Health Care as well. The right to health
care could save lives to these people in need. If we were to stop public health care to illegal
immigrants, we wouldnt be able to save as many lives. Every person has an equal right to
medical care simply by virtue of being a person. Its important that everyone, including illegal
anyone.
I didnt know that citizens have the only right to Health Care. Lets say an illegal immigrant
has an emergency and has to go to the doctor. Since they dont have any insurance, and assuming
they cant pay for the expense, it could lead them to file for medical bankruptcies. Not only that,
but the doctor doesnt get any money for it. It can lead to many consequences and thats why we
There are differences in health insurance by income. Health insurance is based on your
occupation, age, health, and income. Those who are rich have more liberty to purchase more and
better health care. High earners are also required to pay more on their payroll taxes. This

Doesnt the Declaration of independence promote life, liberty, and the pursuit of

through the Affordable Health Care act. If we want to make this possible, the best decision is that

My assignment is referring to the Affordable Car Act. My argument is how critical this
situation is in many U.S families. Why is this critical? Health insurance isnt affordable for many
people and its causing a great financial burden. This is why the Affordable Care Act is here. The
ACA is here to help low income families who cannot afford health insurance and still provide
protection for them.
One reason why I decide to talk about this topic was because I wanted to be unique! I was
going to talk about euthanasia; however, there were a number of peers who were going to talk
about this so I changed my mind. Im interested in the health care area. If I didnt create my work
in the ACA, I would have talked about patient autonomy, organ transplants, woman and
medicine, and other ethical theories related to health care. I finally decided to speak about ACA,
because I felt like this topic can affect everyone in my classroom and Im sure it does since its a
law.
