1. Purpose
This procedure describes the protocol to use when tagging valves and signage within
SRCC Procedure and Permit to work Procedure.

The purpose of tagging valves with colored labels is to ensure correct valve line-up
prior to starting systems, plant or equipment. It is intended that this procedure will be
used in conjunction with and as an aid to the system operating instructions.
This procedure will not be used in place of the operating instructions.

2. The tags are to be attached to valves is a conspicuous location and in a
manner so as not to impede, hamper, or otherwise disrupt the operation

3. This procedure is applicable to the following valves:

position of these valves will be monitored by DCS or the PLC controlling
the relevant system.
