Position: Analyst intern

We offer our interns a unique setup for students interested in careers in the Project Finance industry:
the intern will be part of a 30-strong team, with direct exposure to live deals with 1st tier international
and regional sponsors, specialized private equity funds and institutional investors as well as the
largest construction companies. The intern will be exposed to all such activities pertaining to the
origination, execution and closing of financial advisory mandates in the Project Finance space
(including financial modeling, documentation review and negotiation, coordination of due diligence
activities, etc.), across:

A variety of sectors (transportation, water, renewable energy, conventional power, health)

A variety of emerging markets (South East Asia, India) and OECD countries like Japan/Korea

A variety of funding solutions (international commercial banks, agency and ECA financings,
local and international capital markets)

A variety of transactions (development advisory, greenfield financing, bid stage advisory,


buy-side and sell-side mandates)

Duties and responsibilities: Position responsibilities include due diligence, financial modelling, and

Asia.

The Private Participation in Infrastructure Database (PPI-DB) tracks private participation in


infrastructure projects in developing countries. The PPI Database Project, which was initiated in 1998,
involves the development and maintenance of a comprehensive inventory of PPI projects in emerging
markets, covering the period from 1984-2015.

The Infrastructure Prioritization Framework (IPF) is a tool to help governments worldwide to decide
how to allocate limited public resources to infrastructure investments. It draws on existing and
reasonably accessible data to help governments (1) systematically compare infrastructure projects,
(2) identify the most important decision criteria in order to improve immediate decisions as well as
future project data collections, (3) visualize alternative investment options, and (4) transition toward
better information systems for infrastructure planning.

The PPP team is looking for an intern to provide support on i) processing and analysing the PPI-DB,

The World Bank PPP CCSA advises governments around the world on infrastructure strategy,
policy, finance and, in particular, on the frameworks, development and delivery of public private
partnerships (PPPs). This present work program is for an intern to provide practical support to the
team based in Singapore, coordinate specialist input, manage activities in different countries and
generally help the team deliver advice to government. The work program will include a variety of
different countries, including in particular Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Vietnam, Qatar, Kuwait,
