In the second half of the semester, we have read the story Oh, wie schn ist Panama and
we read the fantastical anecdote by Baron von Mnchhausen. Based on those and using
your knowledge of fairy tales and storytelling as your guide, you will fashion a story
using structures and vocabulary you know. Unlike the retelling of the Stadtprojekt,
your story will be about fictional characters of your own choosing.
Components:
a. Outline (see below) use this to think about & plan your story & to gather
appropriate vocabulary.
b. First draft 1 2 pages long. Typwritten, use the checklists provided & self edit;
double-space. Bring to class on Wednesday, May 3.
c. Final Version refine, re-edit and submit electronically, no later than May 8.
Requirements:
*TIP: Reread the Janosch story and the Mrchen handouts for relevant expressions -
DO NOT translate from English.
