MATRICULATION OATH
(to be sworn to by Part-Time Students)

I.. solemnly and sincerely

swear by Almighty God (and truly declare)/(affirm):

1. that on admission as a Part-Time Student of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, I shall pay due
respect and obedience to the Rector, Officers and all constituted authorities of the Polytechnic;
2. that I shall faithfully obey all rules and regulations which may from time to time be issued by them by the
good order and administration of the Polytechnic;
3. that I shall refrain from all acts of violence and other actions, whether within or outside the Polytechnic,
which are likely to disrupt the work of the Polytechnic, or bring the name of the Polytechnic into disrepute,
and
4. that I shall make restitution for damages done by me to any property of the Polytechnic or any private or
public body.

I swear/ (declare)/ (affirm):

1. that I am not a member of any secret society or cult, and that I solemnly promise that I shall not belong to
any secret society or cult;
2. that I shall not join any club, association or union not registered with the Polytechnic.
3. I know that I am not entitled to be a member of Student Union of the Polytechnic, and I under-take not to
join or participate in the election of the Student Union.

I agree:

that I shall be expelled from the Polytechnic if it is discovered at any time that I belong or belonged to any
unauthorized or secret society, cult, unregistered club, association or union.

I also agree:

that the Rector reserves the right to with-hold my result, withdraw or cancel any certificate issued to me by the
Polytechnic in the event of any serious misconduct.

I hereby submit myself to the discipline of the Governing Council of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic.
