Psalm 130
De profundis
Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord, My soul is waiting for the Lord,
Lord, hear my voice! I count on his word.
O let your ears be attentive My soul is longing for the Lord
to the voice of my pleading. more than watchman for daybreak.
Let the watchman count on daybreak
If you, O Lord, should mark our guilt, and Israel on the Lord.
Lord, who would survive?
But with you is found forgiveness: Because with the Lord there is mercy
for this we revere you. and fullness of redemption,
Israel indeed he will redeem
from all its iniquity. Glory
MY JESUS, for that copious sweat of blood you shed in the Garden of Gethsemane,
have mercy on my relatives who are suffering in Purgatory.
MY JESUS, for the humiliations and cruel treatment you suffered at the tribunal
of Pontius Pilate, have mercy on the souls of our beloved dead
who are hoping to be glorified in your kingdom.
MY JESUS, for the painful steps you made as you carried the heavy cross,
have mercy on the souls who are about to leave Purgatory; and for the suffering you endured
as you saw your Mother on the way to Calvary, free the souls in Purgatory
who were devoted to this dear Mother.
MY JESUS, for your most holy body laid on the cross, for your feet and hands
pierced by nails, for your cruel death, and for your side pierced by the lance,
have mercy on the poor souls and admit them into your heavenly kingdom.
