Test Manager

The Test Manager provides a structured

approach to setup and run specified test
procedures and is designed for software
and script based testing via one or multiple
Test Applications. In addition to the Test
Applications, the Test Manager offers a
graphical interface to specify additional
test configuration, such as operator, in-
spector, tester and UUT (Unit Under Test)
configuration data, on test start.

All test steps and results as well as the test

configuration data will be added to the
automatically generated test reports for
each Test Application. The default test
report output formats are ASCII, XML and
optionally PDF, where the layout of the
generated report files is fully customisable.

The Test Manager can be used to organise

and run one or multiple Test Applications.
Each Test Application represents a self-
contained Test Case and will generate its
own test report. Further, logic structuring
of a Test Application is offered by Test
Groups and Test Scripts.
The Test Manager User Interface provides

Remote Control
PBA.pro can be controlled and monitored
from a client host running on a different PC
via TCP/IP sockets. Any PC can connect to
the PBA.pro Remote Control Component
by using a TCP client application. Accord-
ingly, tools like Netcat, the PBA.pro Remote
Control GUI sample application, shipped
with the PBA.pro installation or even
any customer application can be used to
remote control PBA.pro.
The Remote Control functionality offers:
Full access to all PBA.pro objects and
framework (similar to 'local' scripting)
Flexible call back mechanism to notify
the remote PC on events of interest
Methods for embedding PBA.pro as a
part of more complex test systems/suites
Maximum flexibility for remote
applications
PBA.pro scripting improves efficiency and
helps to reduce time and cost for testing.
