Responsibilities

Monitor the QC Inspector to ensure compliance with quality

requirements.
Interface with Owner and Class pertaining to quality related
issues and technical clarifications or queries.
Handle and resolve quality related issues arising from sub-
contractors and in-house production.
Review material and weld traceability, inspection and test
reports, non-destructive test reports etc.
Review hydrostatic test packages and verify completion of
material and weld traceability prior to testing.
Facilitate the preparation of project delivery documents
Overall responsible for all the NDT activities and direct
supervision of NDT technicians and coordinators.
Review the NDT plan, NDT procedures and NDT personnel
qualifications records.
Check the percentage coverage of NDT plan

Job Knowledge

Review technical specifications, drawings, procedures, and

standard required in the project.
Carry out in-process inspection as per the ITP.
Coordinate with the QC Sub-Contractor.
Prepare material and weld traceability records.
 Ligase with Owners Rep and/or Class Surveyor with regards to
witness point or hold point as per the ITP.

For NDT

Review NDT request and verify approval by designated

singnatories.
Coordinate with the NDT Company or in-house NDT technicians.
Verify location of test items on site.
Coordinate with the QC for any weld repair.
Coordinate with the NDT Company for any rejected films (i.e. re-
shoot RT films).
Prepare weld rejection rate and welder performance.
