Acquiring Competencies: Because of my creative thinking, I designed and
created the picture board shown above. I was also fundamental in designing/building the raft/dock in the pictures above. Embracing Contradictions: There was nothing contradictory in my creations. Innovative Thinking: The picture board was a very innovative idea of mine. I was tasked by my leadership to create something that would last and look good in the Detachments lounge. From there I decided I wanted to model it after an aircraft wing. Looking on the final design I think it does my initial thought process justice. The raft was not my original idea. However, I was able to help improve on the ideas of my friends and contribute heavily in the design. Connecting and Transforming: When I was approached to build a picture board, the leaderships ideas were completely different from mine. I connected their goals with my vision and created an awesome design. At first we wanted to build a raft that we could take into the center of the lake. But I came up with the idea to build a floating dock instead. This ended up saving us time and effort. It still accomplished our goal to help us fish. Reflective Practice: My creativity is usually sparked by my imagination. Dock Backstory: We were camping in the mountains and decided we wanted to fish from the shore. However, we could not get our lines out to the deeper part of the lake where the fish were. Thats when we decided to build a raft to float out to the middle and fish. As we built it we realized that it would not make it all the way out as a raft. Thats when I came up with the idea to turn it into a dock and fish off of It. Grading Rubric Level: Accomplished
