Praxis Core Exam Analysis

In the state of Nevada it is required that students pass the Praxis Core Exam.

Students are recommended to take this prior to enrolling into Education 299. In order for

students to be admitted into UNLV, UNR or NSU for their bachelor program students

must pass the Praxis Core exam. The passing scores for the Praxis Core in Nevada are as

follows Reading 156, Math 150, and Writing 162.

Students can prepare for the Praxis Core by going online at ETS.org. For this

exam I didnt prioritize my time properly to prepare for the exam. I took the exam with

little preparation and didnt take my time while taking the exam. In order to pass this

exam its recommended students spend much time studying.

My results for the exam were not very great. I scored in the 20% range for

writing. This means that I need substantial improvement to pass this portion of the Praxis

Core exam. In reading I scored in the 26% range. This also means that I need substantial

improvement to pass the Praxis Core exam. My last result was in the 14% range for

Math. For each part of the test I need substantial improvement to pass the Praxis Core

exam.

For the future exam I need to prioritize my time more wisely and to study more. I

will go online to ETS to prepare more for the Praxis Core exam. Also I will use the tutor

services to help prepare for this exam.
