my interest in the medical field. My involvement and experience in multiple clubs and activities
has allowed me to obtain valuable personal, physical, and interpersonal skills that would be an

the 2016 Junior Scholar Award for earning an above average PSAT score. By independently
self-teaching myself academic subjects and balancing my teacher-guided studies, I have been

leadership roles in multiple projects and tasks due to my goal-oriented mindset and ability to face
issues under pressure all while guiding my team members to success. Recently, my group has
depended on me to resolve an issue when our project had broken several minutes prior to our
presentation and I was able to communicate to my team members instructions to fix our project
in an orderly manner. With these capabilities of mine, your organization can have trust in me to
be able to not only complete but excel in tasks independently and without supervision or even
with others.
Some would call me a perfectionist. I tend to over-exert myself on projects and tedious
tasks that may not need a hundred percent of my effort which has unfortunately stolen a lot of
my unnecessary attention. The strengths of my being a perfectionist is that I do not allow myself
to settle for being average thus allowing me to push myself to expectations I know I can reach

An experience of poor communication that I have encountered was when I had just
started yearbook club and I was tasked to come to a teachers room and ask her to email me a
paragraph about herself thatd be placed in the yearbook. When I had asked her, it was ten
minutes before the next class, so I was in a rush so I had told her only briefly about how I wanted
her to write a paragraph about herself and email me her response. The next day I had come into
yearbook to find out that she had emailed my yearbook supervisor and said I had rudely barged
into her class without knocking, presenting my name or club, and clearly state my favor was
unprofessional and that she would like me to apologize, which I had in the end. In reflection, my
unprofessional process of asking someone for a favor while unclearly presenting my proposal
was a mistake on my part and I appreciate her for pointing out something that I needed to
improve on as someone that interviews strangers daily, so I now take into consideration every
time I ask for something of someone I make sure to make my point clear and concise.
