Elvis grew up in the community of Los Higos, Jarabacoa, Dominican

Republic. At the age of 12, he accepted the Lord as his personal savior
through a short-term group of North Americans that came to minister
with Pastor Andre Lara, missionary with Missions Door.

At the age of 14, Elvis began to get involved in various ministries at his
church. First he started playing the drums, then at the age of 16 he
began teaching Sunday school classes at Iglesia Centro Cristiano
Bendicin in Jarabacoa. By serving his local church, his relationship with
God started growing and pretty soon many started to notice that Elvis
was a leader. After he graduated high school, God put the desire in
Elvis heart to train in full-time ministry, and he started to pray about
the possibility of going to seminary.

In January 2014, Elvis was accepted as a student for a four year program in
Bible and theology at Seminario Teolgico Centroamericano (SETECA) in
Guatemala, and has already started his first semester. This is an academic institution that is well known in
Latin America and related to Dallas Theological Seminary.
Pastor Felix Abreu, Caribbean Director for Missions Door and Ministry Coordinator in the Dominican Republic
and myself believe that is imperative that we start training the next generation of leaders that will be
ministering in various parts of the world. We need to embrace young people like Elvis who are willing to train
for ministry. Our biggest challenge is the financial commitment that we have to make to support each
student. This is why we need your support to achieve our goal of training these young leaders.
Missions Door has a scholarship program called Global Change Leadership, which allows us to support young
leaders that want to train for ministry.
I would like you to consider supporting Elvis through Missions Door, so that he could continue his
theological studies. At this moment, we need $425.00 monthly to cover his expenses. This includes food,
lodging, tuition, books and other expenses. If you would like to support Elvis, please visit our webpage:

Here you can find the links to donate with a credit card or a direct debit. At this secure link you can donate

Thanks for considering to support the next generation of leaders.
