Group Choreography Project

Requirements:
Groups of no less than 4 and no more than 8 (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Appropriate music (lyrics and content)
Length: at least 1:30 (from when you start dancing to when you finish)
Dance notes (one copy per group)
o Charted music
o Formations
o General choreography notes
o Costume sketch
o A unique title for your piece
o A brief introduction or description of your piece that will be read
before you perform for the class
The following choreographic elements:
o At least two formations
o Levels
o Canon
o Pickup OR accumulation
o Contagion
o Different groupings
o Different facings
The following dance skills:
o Weight sharing OR a lift
o Floor work
o Pirouette
o A turn (chain, piqu, soutenu, pencil, etc.)
o Grand jet/saut de chat
o Saut
o Port de bras
 Performance Dates
May 22 (A) and May 23 (B)
Day 1
Choose music
Chart music
Plan formations and general choreography ideas
If you have finished all of the above, you may begin day 2!

Day 2
AT LEAST :30 of choreography complete

Day 3
AT LEAST 1:00 of choreography complete

Day 4
AT LEAST 1:30 of choreography complete

Day 5 (Day of fine arts spring trip!)

Turn everything in, because its PERFORMANCE DAY!
