ABSTRACT Vibration control using ANSYS EXPERIMENT
In this poster it show the dynamic stability of a smart beam . The smart The setup consists of mainly four parts: beam made up with Aluminum and mild 1) A beam which is to be tested 2)the steel. The beam treated as a cantilever beam bonded with piezoelectric setup means its one end is fixed and actuators and a fixture ii)a actuation other end is free with piezoelectric circuit is connected with this set up iii) a (lead- Zirconium-Titanate-PZT) patches. shake system with controller iii)a The natural frequency of smart beam computer installed with a software was found by ANSYS WORKBEANCH. which measured the signal and control the signal. The first four modes were found from ANSYS by varying the area of actuator from the end of the beam. The free CONCLUSION vibration was found from initial displacement and giving voltage to PZT. In this study, it can be found out the Experimental vibration control vibrational stability of cantilever smart beam. The results show that INTRODUCTION aluminum beams have more damping effect than the mild steel. So The beam is made of flexible material. It aluminum have less setting time than has low flexible rigidity and low Mild steel. Maximum effectiveness can damping ratio. When the beam is on be found when the actuators in high vibration with large amplitude vibration strain zone then it takes long time for settle. This REFERENCES can give fatigue, instability and poor operation of the structures. Now a days Irschik.H, 2002, Engg.
