Dear Mrs. Aymin:

My name is Kacie Birdsell and I am interested in being part of the staff for
Common Sense Events. I have attended several events catered by Common
Sense Events, such as a wedding and a birthday party. They were well run
and the catering staff was very professional. I would like to be a server for
your company because it seems as though your employees enjoy their work.
I believe I could learn a lot as part of your team.

I am currently a senior at Elsinore High School and will graduate in June of

2017. I am in the top 10% of my class, maintaining a 3.5 or higher
throughout my high school career. I have researched and visited several
colleges that I am interested in applying to here in California and am looking
forward to the continued education.

I have also competed in multiple varsity sports in high school, such as tennis
and softball, and I have played travel softball for six years. I am a co-team
captain on my travel softball team and head team captain on the varsity
softball team for my high school. I enjoy the leadership position, with its
responsibilities and rewards. I am very hard working, respectful, polite and a
fast learner. I am mature and ready to acquire work experience.

I would like to work and earn money in order to take responsibility for my
own expenses before I leave for college. I have been learning about
household, entertainment and other financial budgeting skills and realize I
need to practice creating a budget of my own. My goal is to make one
thousand dollars. I realize that will take work and dedication; however, I am
up for the challenge.
