Overall Reflection
This project is designed to serve as an overview of the writing projects and the

progress made throughout this semester in UWRT 1104. It is arranged

chronologically through the order of the tabs at the top of the page but does not

need to be viewed chronologically. Rhetorical knowledge is demonstrated through

the address of a specific target audience on the genre project and the language

used throughout the later projects which are suited toward their respective

audiences. My progress in critical reading skills is demonstrated through the

analysis of the sources on my annotated bibliography and throughout my use of

those sources on my genre project. The proper composing process is demonstrated

in all of the later projects but is especially clear throughout the research and

creation of the final genre project and in my recognition of peer feedback. From this

peer feedback I learned proper MLA formatting and knowledge of conventions which

the progression of which can be seen in all of the essays written. My ability to reflect

critically can be seen in my future authoring through the clearly written and

relatively concise address of a topic as complex as my ideal future life and its ins

and outs which are explained thoroughly. My curiosity and openness are

demonstrated through my research in the annotated bibliography. My creativity,

engagement, and persistence are shown in my future authoring essay through my

clear excitement for the topic and through the detailed future that I set out for

myself to achieve. My flexibility and metacognition are shown in throughout my

portfolio in the many different genre types and in my analysis of my past events in

my past authoring essay.


Moving forward from this class I will take the skills I gained in critically

evaluating sources, taking proper notes, and different genres of writing. This

portfolio gave me an opportunity to reflect on these developments I made

throughout the semester. If I had the opportunity to do this project again I would

start earlier and have my documents from the year organized better and write

reflections as I wrote the projects instead of all at the end. I would format the

project in the same way and organize it similarly as it is simple and easy to follow. I

never looked at my past or future critically and this class gave me the chance to

further understand why I am how I am and what it is I aim to do.
