While investigatind MIMO we should take below points in consideration

1-Cells with Zero MIMO Attempts::If a cell has no mimo attempts than first check
MIMO Capability i-e weather antenna and RRU supports mimo which can be found th
rough Manufacturer data.
If antenna and RRU Supports
mimo than set the TM Mode to 2T2R if its not set to the same.
2-Cells with Low MIMO Usage:: If cells have low mimo usage i-e low Rank2 utiliza
tion(0%-20%),IF antenna and RRU Supports mimo then change the Cell TM Mode to 2T
2R and also Change Sector Equipment Antenna Configuration if required.
Perform Cross Feder Test by Run
ning MML Command STR CROSFEEDTST
3-If all above points are ok and still mimo utilization is not high then go for
below Physical Checks:
a)MIMO ISSUES:-Cross Sectors.
-Partial cross(cross jumpers connection
n b/w RRHs and antenna ports).
-Loose jumpers connections b/w RRHs and
Antenna port.
-Fiber and SFP module data rate.
-Verify antenna band.
-Verify VSWR Values using site master.
b)JUMPERS CHECK:-Jumpers should be connected and tightened properly

-Jumpers should be in good conditio
n.
c) DIV.Imbalance:-Loose jumpers connection.
-Partial swap b/w RRH and antenna ports

-RRH port TXRX1 should be connected to
antenna port +(45)
-RRH port TXRX2 should be connected to
antenna port -(45)
ALSO in CELLMIMOPARACFG MIMOADAPTIVE SWITCH should be set to NO ADAPTIVE and FI
XEDMIMOMODE should be used and set to TM3.
