‘April 3, 2017 ‘To Whom It May Concern: tis with great pleasure | write this letter in support of Jeff Wiliams. Jeff was a PS111student in my sixth rade classroom from January 2107 to April 2017. During his practicum, Jeff taught Language Arts, ‘Math, Social Studies and Science to a class of 28 students. Jeff developed thorough unit plans and understood the components of a lesson plan and the reasons for ‘each portion. He came to class well prepared to teach, executed his lessons effectively and efficiently ‘and carried out meaningful assessments for his lessons. Jeff was flexible and was able to adjust to various schedule changes in order to complete the units during his time of teaching. He successfully demonstrated his awareness of different learning styles and adjusted assignments to meet the varied needs of students. Jeff developed a great relationship with the students. He was able to present information on a wide variety of topics while projecting a composed presence, a great sense of humor, and maintaining a positive classroom environment. Jeff exhibited an excellent manner of professionalism. He was punctual, articulate, and always ready with a smile and a kind word. Jeff was very reflective and consistently sought ways to improve his, practice. He became involved in several extracurricular activities including coaching a Handball tournament, and also started a student French club during lunch hour. Jeff helped prepare the second term report cards. His comments reflected his knowledge of the students and their individual learning needs. Jeff developed a positive rapport with parents by making 2 point of contacting them to share student successes. Jeff Williams is a competent beginning teacher.
