Although Jeff has not been in my classroom, he has been part of our upper elementary team here at Crestwood School. Jeff is a curious learner. He has observed several teachers in our building at a variety of grade levels. He asks pertinent questions about curriculum and pedagogy. At our Teacher’s Convention, Jeff attended a workshop I facilitated on “Math Clarification from Alberta Education.” Jeff was an active participant in the class, Jeff and I have had interesting discussions about both classroom content and processes. I find him. perceptive in both his questions and contributions in an academic conversation. Thave observed Jeff several times interacting with students. He is kind, fair and direct. It is obvious he has formed positive relationships with the students in his Grade 6 room. He has developed a professional skill set to effectively work with energetic adolescents, Jeff is a team player. He enjoys working with other teachers. He is encouraging. He seeks opportunity to build his skill set. While at Crestwood, Jeff volunteered to coach a grade six handball team, create anew student group- French club and help set up for annual school Spring Tea, Jeff is a committed professional.
