1. Description
DCSs landscape is based on recognition of three Domains : Cognitive , Digital
Citizenship And Technology.

The DCS instrument uses gamification approach as it is known to be more effective in


engaging students to learn by doing, subsequently helping them master subject matter
better.

4. Admins account

4.1. How to import schools?


4.1.1. Go to http://dcs.funsco.re/
4.1.2. Login using:
4.1.2.1. Username: rootadmin
4.1.2.2. Password: password123
4.1.3. Go to School from the menu bar

4.1.5. Choose the excel file provided

4.2. How to provide school with username and password?


4.2.1. Go to http://dcs.funsco.re/
4.2.2. Login using:
4.2.2.1. Username: rootadmin
4.2.2.2. Password: password123
4.2.2.3. Click School on the menu bar

4.2.4. Copy the username and password

4.2.5. Respective state manager can save the school list in a separate,
external excel sheet

5.1. How to create teacher?


5.1.1. Go to http://dcs.funsco.re/

manager
5.1.3. Key in the teachers name, email, contact number and click Save
5.1.4. After clicking Save, username and password for the teacher will
be automatically generated

5.1.5. Provide teachers with the respective username and password

5.2. How to add teacher?


5.2.1. Go to http://dcs.funsco.re/
5.2.2. Login using the username and password provided by state
manager
5.2.3. Click + to add a new field

5.2.4. Key in the teachers name, email, contact number and click Save
5.2.5. After clicking Save, username and password for the teacher will
be automatically generated

5.3. How to delete teacher?


5.3.1. Go to http://dcs.funsco.re/
5.3.2. Login using the username and password provided by state
manager
5.3.3. Click Delete to delete a teacher

5.3.4. Please be aware that once a teacher is deleted, all students' data
and game progress recorded under the teacher will be removed as
well. This is inclusive of the classs & students' data.
5.3.5. Click Yes to delete a teacher

6. Teachers Account

6.1. How to create class?


6.1.1. Go to http://dcs.funsco.re/
6.1.2. Login using the username and password provided by school
manager
6.1.3. First time login:
6.1.3.1. Key in the teacher name
6.1.3.2. Key in the VALID teachers IC number
6.1.3.3. Click Start

6.1.4. Subsequent login
6.1.4.1. Use the IC number to login, the password will always be the
last 4 digit of IC number.
6.1.5. After login, click "Create" button to create a class.

6.1.6. The name of school will be shown.


6.1.7. Choose "Standard" or "Form".
6.1.8. Key in the name of class.
6.1.9. Key in the number of students in the class.
6.1.10. Click "Generate Class".

6.1.11. Click Print to print out the students username and password

6.1.12. Share the username and password with the students for their login

6.2. How to add class?


6.2.1. Go to http://dcs.funsco.re/
6.2.2. Login using the username and password provided by school
manager
6.2.3. Login using the teachers username and password
6.2.4. Click Add Class

6.2.5. The name of school will be shown.


6.2.6. Choose "Standard" or "Form".

6.2.8. Key in the number of students in the class.
6.2.9. Click "Generate Class".

6.2.10. Click Print to print out the students username and password

6.2.11. Share the username and password with students for their login

6.3. How to edit/delete class?
6.3.1. Go to http://dcs.funsco.re/
6.3.2. Login using the teachers username and password
6.3.3. Click on the class name, highlighted in green color
6.3.3.1. Rename the class and click Save

6.3.4. The delete class button is in red color

6.3.5. Please be aware that once a class is deleted, all the corresponding
data and students' game progress recorded under it will be
removed as well.
6.3.6. Click Yes to delete a class

6.4. How to retrieve students username and password?
6.4.1. Go to http://dcs.funsco.re/
6.4.2. Login using the teachers username and password
6.4.3. Click on the class name, highlighted in green color

6.4.4. Obtain the students login details using their IC number

6.5. How to edit students name and IC number?
6.5.1. Go to http://dcs.funsco.re/
6.5.2. Login using the teachers username and password
6.5.3. Click on the class name, highlighted in green color

6.5.4. Student cannot be deleted once they have started the game
6.5.5. Click on Edit under MyKad No. or Name/URL

6.5.6. Key in the correct IC number or name and click Save

6.6. How to delete a student?


6.6.1. Go to http://dcs.funsco.re/
6.6.2. Login using the teachers username and password
6.6.3. Click on the class name, highlighted in green color

6.6.4. Student cannot be deleted once they have started the game
6.6.5. Click Delete to delete a student

6.6.6. Click Yes to delete a student

6.7.1. Go to http://dcs.funsco.re/
6.7.2. Login using the teachers username and password
6.7.3. Click on the class name, highlighted in green color

6.7.4. Click + to add a student

6.7.5. Click Add Student to generate username and password for the
student

6.8.1. Go to http://dcs.funsco.re/
6.8.2. Login using the teachers username and password
6.8.3. Find the students that have completed the game and which class
they belong to
6.8.4. If the student has completed the game, you can click Download
to retrieve the students certificate

6.8.5. After the download is complete, the teacher can open the file and
print the students certificate

7. Students account

7.1. Where to start?


7.1.1. Go to http://dcs.funsco.re/
7.1.2. Login using the username and password provided by the teacher
7.1.3. First time login:
7.1.3.1. Key in the student name
7.1.3.2. Key in the VALID students IC no.
7.1.3.3. Click Start

7.1.4. Subsequent login


7.1.4.1. Use the IC number to login, the password will always be the
last 4 digit of IC number

7.1.5. After login successfully, the student will be directed to the games
main page. Click Start
7.1.6. Student can begin playing the game by clicking planet with hand
cursor

7.2. What if the student cant complete the entire level within the time given?
7.2.1. The students can resume the game at home.
7.2.2. Click Logout.

7.2.3. Subsequent login
7.2.3.1. Use the IC number to login, the password will always be the
last 4 digit of IC number
7.2.4. After login successfully, the student will be directed to the games
main page. Click Start.
7.2.5. Students can resume playing from where they left off by clicking
planet with hand cursor.

7.3. What if the student has played all the levels?


7.3.1. The student has completed the game
7.3.2. The student can download the reward and save it to computer
7.3.3. Click the planet at the centre.

7.4. What if the student experiences network error problem?
7.4.1. The student has to logout from the game

7.4.2. The student needs to re-login


7.4.3. Use the IC number to login, the password will always be the last 4
digit of IC number
7.4.4. After login successfully, the student will be directed to the games
main page. Click Start
7.4.5. Students can resume playing from where they left off by clicking
planet with hand cursor

by grade

categorised by Grade, Technology, Ethics, Cognitive and
