Stage 1: What will students know and be able to do at the end of this lesson? (Objectives or Outcomes)

DO (What do you want students to be able to do at the end of the class? This should be a real-life use of language)

Students will able to make sentences in the simple past tense question form using different subject.

KNOW (What vocabulary, structures and/or culture do students need to know in order to do what you have targeted)

Students will know how to make Past Tense Question Form, answer the questions with yes or no and meaning of
the listed verbs and will be able to pronounce correctly.

Stage 2: How will you know that students can do that? (Assessments- How will you know that students can do what you
targeted as a performance?)

All students will be asked to make questions and answer questions during the speaking game.

Students will be given a classwork.

Students will leave the classroom with exit ticket.

Stage 3: What instructional activities will be used? (Activities)

Opening (Bell work)/Activity 1: Put the 3 flashcards up the board and students will make past tense sentences either
positive or negative form.
Activity 2: Students will learn how to make Past Tense (Question Form) via PPT.
Teacher will read the sentences loudly (by pointing the picture) and Students will listen and repeat. And students will
write the descriptions in English in their notebooks.

Activity 4: Classwork (Past Tense Question Form)

Students will answer the question with yes or no in Turkish as in first two examples in work sheet.
Activity 5: SPEAKING GAME Teacher will divide the class into 2 groups. Make a circle with chairs. One student
from each group will be stand in middle of the circle and ask the questions to the students who are sitting. If student`s answer is
yes they need to stand and change their spot .When everybody sit down the student who could not fine available chair will ask
the next question. Game is going to continue when all questions are done.

Stage 4: Homework

Closing/Activity 5: Teacher will check whether students understand the lesson or not by giving Kahoot Quiz.
