2. HOT WATER shall be to the LEFT SIDE of any faucet and diverters
connected in a water piping system.
3. Drink fountains and water portable dispensers shall not be located near or
in the toilet and shall be maintained in clean condition.
4. At least one sink with hot and cold running water shall be provided in
each work area or work room where hairdressing is performed in each school
and establishment.
5. Approved sanitary drinking fountains shall be installed and so regulated that
a jet of at least 2 inches (51 mm) shall be constantly available.

where NO PRODUCT is handled or prepared.

8. Equipment using potable water shall be so installed as to prevent back
siphonage into the potable water system.
9. An ample supply of water at not less than 180 F (82 C)y shall be available
when used for sanitizing purposes.
10.Pens, Alleys and runaways shall have hose connection for cleanup
puposes.
11.The vehicle cleaning and sanitizing shall be provided with adequate line
steam, producing a temperature of at least 180 F(82 C) or other suitable
method.
12.Renderers shall be provided with live steam or other method of sanitizing
vehicles.
13.Water supply shall be ample, clean and potable, with facilities for its
distribution in the plan, and its protection against contamination and
pollution.
14.Non-potable water is permitted only in those parts of official plants where
no edible is handled or prepared, then only for limited purposes.
15.Hot water for cleaning rooms and equipment shall be delivered under
pressure to outlets and shall be of such temperature as to accomplish
thorough cleaning.
16.No unclean water pipe shall be connected to any potable water supply
piping.
17.No potable water piping system connection to any tank, receptor,
equipment or plumbing fixture shall be installed to allow unclean water to
enter the potable piping system by reasons of back siphonage, suction or etc.
18.No unclean water piping system shall be connected to a potable water
piping system unless provided with an backflow prevention device for
prevention of potential hazard.
19.No clean domestic water supply shall be connected to any plumbing
fixture or device or etc. when the connection shall have the chance of
polluting the clean water supply.
20.An Atmospheric Vacuum Breaker shall consists of a body, checking
member and an atmospheric opening.
21.A Hose connection backflow preventer shall consists of two independent
check valves with independent atmospheric vent between and a means of
field testing and draining.
22.A Double check valve backflow prevention assembly shall consist of
two independently acting internally loaded check valves, four properly
located test cocks and two isolation valves.
23.A Pressure Vacuum Breaker Backflow Prevention Assembly (PVB)
shall consists of a loaded air inlet, an internally loaded check valve, 2
properly located test cocks, 2 isolation valves. This device is to be installed
indoors only.
24.Pressure Vacuum Breaker Spill Resistant Type Backflow Prevention
Assembly (SVB) shall consist of 1 check valve force loaded closed and an
air inlet vent valve force loaded open to atmosphere, positioned downstream
of the check valve, and located between and including 2 tightly closing
shutoff valves and test cocks.
25.Reduced Pressure Principle Backflow Prevention Assembly (RP) shall
consists of two independently acting internally loaded check valves, a
differential pressure relief valve, four properly located test cocks, and two
isolation valves.
26.All Backflow prevention valve shall be permanently identifiable by the
user, owner or permitte in a manner satisfactory to the authority having
jurisdiction.
27.The backflow preventer shall be accessible for the required testing,
maintenance, and repair. Access and clearance shall require a minimum of 1
foot (305mm) between the lowest portionof the assembly and grade, floor,
or platform.
28.Installations elevated more than 5 feet (1524mm) above the floor or grade
shall be provided with permanent platform capableof supporting a tester or
maintenance person.
29.Any potable water discharged into the drainage system shall be with an
approved air gap of 2 pipe diameters of the supply and in no case shall the
gap be less than 1 inch (25mm).
30.Any connection to the inlet side of a trap shall be provided with an approved
vacuum breaker, installed not less than 6 inches (152mm).
31.How water piping systems over 110 F (43.3 C) shall be provided with
backflow preventer designed to operate at temperatures of 100F (43.3C) or
more, without rendering any portion of the assembly inoperative.
32.All drain lines serving backflow devices or assemblies shall be sized
accordance with the discharge rates of the manufacturers flow charts.
33.Plumbing fixtures shall be installed with fixture fittings complying with the
back prevention requirements of ASME A112.18.1 and shall not be
compromised.
34.Flushometer valves of water closets and urinals shall be equipped with an
atmospheric vacuum breaker.
35.The vacuum breaker shall be installed on the discharge side of the
flushometer valve with the critical level at least 6 inches (152mm), or the
distance according to listing, above the overflow rim of a water closet bowl or
the highest part of a urinal.
36.Ballcock shall be installed in a water closet and urinal tanks. Should be
installed with the critical level at least 1 in (25.4mm) above the full opening
of the overflow pipe.

connected to a low pressure hot water boiler limited to a maximum of
30psig by an approved safety or relief valve.

toxicity rating or CLASS A1.
40.Water supply inlets to tanks, pools and etc. shall be provided by a listed
vacuum breaker installed on the discharge side of the last valve with the
critical level not less than 6 inches.
41.Non-removable hose bib type backflow preventer, a non-removable hose, bib
type vacuum breaker or by an atmospheric vacuum breaker shall be installed
in all portable water outlets with hose attachments by atleast 6 inches.
Above the highest point of usage located on the discharge side of the last
valve.
42.All potable water makeup piping connections to steam or hot water
shall be provided with a listed back flow protection assembly.
43.All outlet of the non-potable waterline piping system that can accidentally
used for drinking or potable domestic purposes shall be posted with a
signage CAUTION: NONPOTABLE WATER, DO NOT DRINK.
44.All waste or discharge from reverse osmosis or other types of water
treatment shall enter the drainage system through an air gap.
45.Any deck mounted or equipment mounted vacuum breakers shall be installed
in accordance with the manufacturers instructions, with the critical level not
less than 1 inch above the flood level rim.
