- This article explains/ discuss about gender roles in our society and the different expectations
from people. How our society changes the way, men and women act with their role. I found this
source by using google scholar. This source is credible because it is from the University of Maine
from a professor Amy Blackstone. This article will be useful for my research paper because this
article has useful information I can cite that discuss gender role in our society. This article helps
me understand the basics of gender roles and a clear understanding what it means. This would
make my research paper strong with enough background for my claim.

-This article talks introduces a background of sitcoms that target specific time, teenagers,
racial groups, gender stereotype etc... The author talks about specific sitcoms he saw and
looks for specific gender stereotypes in the sitcom like unintelligent, relationship driven
etc This article useful for my research paper because this article gives me information
about all the sitcoms that encounter gender stereotypes that I can watch and give my
opinion on what I think. Even though this article is not that credible because it does not
have any websites, backing up what the author wrote. I still found this useful because it
has sitcoms that I can watch and use for my research paper.

- This article explains about sexism in top sitcoms making inaccurate television with women. This
article discusses about how men are successfully accomplished while women are struggling and
unemployed in sitcoms. These sitcoms affect women role in a negative way. I found this
supportive information in CSUN library database by searching gender roles in television shows.
This article credible because it is from CSUN library database by the author Michelle. This is
useful because this article supports my claim about gender role in our society. This article helps
persuade my audience to support my claim

-This article explains how men are impacted from sexism in sitcoms. This author talks
about sitcoms making male character intelligent and acting dumb in their show and starts an
angry rant about how he feels towards this situation. This article is credible because it is from the
Daily Telegraph which is a national British daily broadsheet newspaper published in London.
This is useful for my research paper because this supports my claim and I can use men as well
not just women are affected by gender stereotypes in sitcoms. This article gives me different
view on how this person been affected not just me. It was interesting on what he had to say.
