Applications
AQUATROL I reduces water production problems in wells producing from all types of formations. It is mixed with a
suitable clean brine (normally 2% KCl) and injected at pumping rates and treating pressures not to exceed the
fracturing gradient of the formation. Its extreme hydrophilic nature increases the friction pressure of water flowing
through the formation, thus reducing formation water production with little or no effect on reservoir oil production.
Features
Shear Stability
Resistance to shear degradation gives this treating fluid a longer term protection.
Compatibility
Compatible with multivalent cations and most chemical additives.
Benefits
Simplest method to long-lasting water permeability reduction with its ease of mixing, pumping and shear stability.
Applicable to a large number of reservoirs as a result of its broad compatibility with most chemicals and multivalent
cations and its stability in temperatures to 250F (121C).
Workover costs and non-production time reduced because of the fluids low surface tension which facilities a complete
and rapid cleanup after treatment of the reservoir.
