We must start this weeks tracker with our
congratulations to our swimmers for producing such
excellent results in last weeks National Swimming 75M RECORD BREAKERS!
Championships. After a very early start to the day Congratulations to Anna Baber who has broken

ROBINS CLASS
The Robin's have been learning about crops and what is made from them. Their environmental walk
this week led them into a field of rape where they smelt the flowers, measured the height of the
plants and had great fun.

IAPS SWIM FINALS
A thank you and well done from Mrs Hinchliffe. Jake arrived later and after a circuit of the amazing
After a long 5 month wait, and with over 4,250
swimmers taking part from across the country, we
arrived at Crawley on Saturday 6th May.
Mr Symonds and I started the day with an excited
Rafie, Ben and Jai.
The supporters club supplied some much needed
coffee, bacon butties and goodies for the journey.
Mrs West and Archie were tucked up in bed, but
Archie's contribution meant that, in case of an illness,
the show could go on, thanks Archie!
We were met by Oliver, Logan, Toby, Zac and Henry.
The Year 5s, looking a little nervous, were steered
beautifully by the experienced Year 6s.
Their race was exciting and 1st, 2nd and 3rd were
home in superb times, Westonbirt breaking all
previous records in the 200m relay.
We came in 5th in a new PB of 2.29.45, having
improved since January by some 11 seconds. The
team performed brilliantly and Toby needed nerves of
steel to start the race off. He clocked his fastest ever
time, as did Logan.
Jai, Henry, Rafie, Ben, Zac and Oliver secured

athletics track at the k2 produced a stunning heat
swim, finishing in 2nd place to make the finals. His
swim was outstanding. His turn was everything he
had worked so hard to produce. His 4th place was a
PB and school record, 34.05. Well done Jake a great
performance!
Rachel arrived after a relaxed morning and set about
preparing in a professional manner. Once ready we
had a good gossip and waited to be called for the last
heats of the day.
Rachel cruised into the finals in 1st place, and then
rehydrated and deliberated over which suit to wear!
Her time of 28.16 was outstanding, putting her in a
deserved 1st place and as the fastest girl in UK prep
schools...wow! It was a joy to see such talent cut
through the water.
Her efforts and that of the team saw TMS finish 7th
place in the country in the Girls competition.
Well done team, it was a huge group effort and I am
incredibly grateful for the support of all the swim staff
and parents who helped to make it happen.

YEAR 7 & 8
The Year 7 and 8 boys had a wonderful day on Wednesday watching Tockingtons sponsored
player, Michael Klinger, lead Gloucesteshire to victory over Kent. In the process, Michael was a top
scorer with 134 runs.

CELEBRATING OUR AMAZING CHILDREN!
Morgan Owen
Morgan attends the PQA Drama Academy PM group on
Saturdays and his group recently wrote and performed
a play that was assessed by Trinity College London. His
group was awarded a distinction which is the highest
award that was available!
The Academy also asked the students to write and perform
short TV sketches which were filmed by the group. This
goes on over the year and last week everyone was invited
to attend a film review of these sketches at the Showcase
cinema. There was also an awards ceremony and Morgan
won the Best Actor award for his group.
Fantastic job, Morgan. Well done!

Poppy Sheppard
Poppy earned a Blue Peter badge and raised money for the homeless by selling some delicious
cakes. Heres a picture of Poppy and brother, William, manning the stall. Amazing work Poppy, well
done!

STAR BADGES
Congratulations to Harrison Leadbeater who demonstrated excellent hockey
skills in his Year 2 lesson this week. He showed great technique using the
push pass. Well done, Harrison!
Congratulations also to Year 3 who have been awarded a mufti day on Friday
19th May for their excellence in class, enthusiasm and super attitude to school
like.

FUNDRAISING UPDATE
Mr Jones and Mr Perez have been busy in the
gym working out in preparation for their 24 hour
charity event next weekend!
So far they have raised 1,325 and are edging
ever closer to their target of 2,000. They would
like to pass on their huge thanks for all the very
kind and generous donations they have had so
far.
