Introduction : In order to grab the attention of students teacher will bring in various shape of
kites and start with the question of, What do you think these are? After that teacher will name
kites and describe why they are named so. Teacher will ask them to give different facts about
kites, like what color is it, what shape is it, what does it mean? There will be a PowerPoint to
show the different types of kites around the world and the different cultures that fly kites.
Instructional Activities and Procedures: Students will be given different reading parts about
kite festivals containing description of the festivals. Students will read the parts and form groups
to discuss about the festivals.

Differentiated instruction : Special education students or new students will go online to Quizlet
to read the same reading part. Students will be able to listen the prerecorded parts and read it at
the same time they will be able to flip flash cards to be able to see the description of each reading
part.
Evaluation : Students will be given a short research paper to go around and ask 3-4 classmates
about kite festivals in the target language then they will record the answer in the target language
and submit the paper to the teacher.

Students also will be given a classroom survey to go around and find out
their classmates birthdates.
Closure: Students will use Plickers cards to exit the classroom. Each question will appear on the
projector screen then students will use preprinted barcodes to choose the best answer. Teacher
will use his cellphone to scan the barcodes that students hold and reveal the answer.
