STANDARD 2: KNOW THE CONTENT AND HOW TO TEACH IT

This following evidence provided is a section from an assessment piece from a range of assessment to comply with sufficient evidence to meet all elements to
standard 2. During this evidence, numerous lesson plans were given to provide evidence of developing enough understanding and development in knowing
content and teaching strategies (2.1), content selection and organisation (2.2), curriculum assessment and reporting (2.3), understand and respect Aboriginal
and Torres Strait Islander people to promote reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians (2.4), literacy and numeracy strategies (2.5)
and information and communication technology (ICT). A range of evidence was selected to best meet expectations of each element

Evidence from here one (unless

stated) is frim one lesson plan
the shows and outlines teaching
standards 2.1, 2.2, and 2.5. This
shows by knowing the content
and teaching it allows for
effective planning that can be
easily understood by others as
well as the content selection
and organised in a strategic way
as well as incorporating literacy.
This evidence was taken from a
prac experience. The lesson was
undertaken in a year 4/5
composite classroom at
Dakabin State School.

This evidence provided is another example of a lesson plan sequence demonstrating my capability in standard 2. This includes the elements of; content and
teaching strategies (2.1), content selection and organisation (2.2), curriculum assessment and reporting (2.3 (2.5) and information and communication
technology (ICT).

This evidence provided takes a different approach to incorporating a few different professional standards. The following link is a self-made
website used as a learning resource tool to provide information in regard to teaching mathematical concepts in the classroom. This evidence
supports standard 2.1 of content and teaching strategies (2.1), content selection and organisation (2.2), numeracy strategies (2.5) and
incorporating information and communication technology (ICT) (2.6).

Evidence for standard 2.4 or understanding and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to promote reconciliation between
Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Australians (2.4) can be seen throughout standard 1.
