Introduction

Economic growth, as an important objective for any governments, increases employment level
and improve social welfare of the community. Therefore, it is important to fix the factors that
could increase economic growth and in this sense, entrepreneurship has been acknowledged by a
huge literature as a relevant factor.

Entrepreneurship has offered the prospect to many of the worlds poor to earn a
sustainable livelihood. It represents a sizeable engine of decent employment generation and
can provide an important contribution to sustainable development by creating jobs and
driving economic growth and innovation, fostering local economic development and improving
social conditions. Moreover, Bangladesh Banks attention is promoting inclusive & sustainable
financing. So it's apparent that the policies & initiatives of Bangladesh Bank creates enough
room for entrepreneurship development. Bangladesh bank already issues various policy
guidelines and circulars for SME and women entrepreneurship development. This paper will
seek correlation between the actions taken by Central Bank's toward entrepreneurship
development in the country.

Objectives of the Study

The broad objectives of this study:

To identify the role Central Banks role in Entrepreneurship Development.

With a view to easing the matter following specific objectives have been identified:

To decide the impact of money spent on Entrepreneurship Development (ED).


To decide the role of interest rate on Entrepreneurship Development.
To find the impact of training arranged by central bank on Entrepreneurship
Development.
To find the impact of awareness programmes arranged by central bank on
Entrepreneurship Development.

Literature Review

Entrepreneurship is therefore a creative human process, one which mobilizes resources from one
level of productivity to another, a superior one. It implies the individuals will of taking on
responsibilities and the mental ability of carrying out the task from idea to implementation. The
essence of entrepreneurship lies in walking against time with wisdom and maturity, and in
serving as an agent for change (Naud, 2008, p. 18). In a country like Bangladesh promoting
entrepreneurship is very crucial for employment generation. As a zenith monetary authority
Bangladesh Bank besides its core activities taking various initiatives to promote
entrepreneurship. It's vital to confirm whether it's really working toward entrepreneurship
development or need more support.

Methodology of the research


It will be a descriptive research which will be fully based on secondary information. The
methodology for preparation of the paper given below in brief.

1. Collection of Available document on topic


2. Review of previous similar reports
3. Collection of relevant data from the related agencies including Bangladesh Bank, SME
Foundation and others.
4. Analysis of information and data
5. The time reference of the study will be 2011-2015.
6. Report writing.

Conclusion
The importance of entrepreneurship development as the pillar block of the industrial growth and
development will be highlighted in this paper. It will reveal that how various programmes or
schemes of central bank contributed to entrepreneurship development by how much and what
more it can do. To perform this work time series data from 2011-2015 will be used. It will be
very difficult to test the impact of central bank's activities on real entrepreneurship development
as this work will not be based on field survey. Hence, honest attempt will be made toward the
justification of the findings.
