Dear Ms. Saravia:

I have chosen to do research about the controversial issue on high school athletes being allowed
to enter the professional level straight out of high school. This topic is very interesting to me
because I know that a large number of superstar athletes are ready to enter the pros after high
school, and I realize that not all athletes are ready after high school. Some of the things I know
about the issue are that athletes in high school might think they are ready but dont understand
the physicality, work ethic, and maturity professional athletes have in the pros.

The thesis of my research paper will be that high school athletes should be allowed to skip
college and enter the pros straight out of high school. Some of the points I may discuss are that
experts have said that athletes would learn more from the veteran players and coaches in the pros
than they would in college, also the quicker they make it into the pros they can get straight into
the salary-cap system and be able to earn more money faster. A counterargument could be that
high school athletes wouldnt be as mature as they would be if they played for a college team
first before entering the pros.

My understanding of plagiarism and/or misrepresentation is to write down somebody elses ideas

or findings and not give them proper credit. I agree to submit my research paper to turnitin.com,
a web service that checks for plagiarism. I understand that forgery is falsifying a signature. I also
understand that if I were to plagiarize, forge or otherwise misrepresent any aspect of my Junior
research paper I will fail Junior English.

Sincerely,

Omar Garcia
