132 KV Sub-Station BHOPA ROAD falls under ETD,Muzaffarnagar where
various urban and Industrial load are developing at a fast rate, presently the urban and Industrial energy demand of Muzaffarnagar district and nearby area is met through (2x63MVA) 132/33 KV Transformers installed at 132 KV S/S Bhopa Road which is fed from 400 KV Muzaffarnagar(Primary Source) and 220 KV Nara Sub-station(alternate source) through 132 KV S/C lines of ACSR Panther Conductor.
The present connected load on the Sub-Station is ___ MVA , the
primary source of 132 KV Sub-Station i.e. 400 KV Muzaffarnagar feeds this connected load which leads the loading on the 132 KV Muzaffarnagar(400 KV)-Bhopa Road line to exceed over its critical limit as the current on this line is generally in range of 526 Amp (i.e.120 MVA) round the clock throughout the year, which is higher than the rated continuous current carrying capacity of ACSR Panther conductor used on the line and operation of line at higher current level than rated capacity creates severe safety issues apart from frequent O&M problems such as load shedding, tripping etc, thus to strengthen and improve the reliability of the primary 132 KV Sub-Station it is proposed replace the existing ACSR Panther conductor with ACCC HTLS conductor, use of ACCC HTLS conductor possessing superior current carrying capacity will effectively resolve the issue of high loading of the 132 KV Muzaffarnagar(400 KV)-Bhopa Road line and will further strengthen this line to cope with any future increment in line current arising due to increase in capacity of 132 KV bhopa road Sub-Station.
As 132 KV Bhopa Road Sub-Station is one of the major source to feed
the ever growing energy demand of Muzaffarangar district, to avoid disruptions in power supply due to high loading of the 132 KV Muzaffarnagar(400 KV)-Bhopa Road line and make this line future proof to any increase in capacity of 132 KV Bhopa Road sub-station, it is the need of the hour to change the existing ACSR Panther conductor with ACCC HTLS conductor as this will be another small stepping stone in fulfilling the Power for all and 24 x 7 power commitment of Central and State government
Hence it is proposed to replace the ACSR panther conductor of 132 kv
S/C muzaffarnagar(400 kv)-bhopa road line with ACCC HTLS conductor, this will work as a mile stone to meet out the industrial & urban load demand reliably in the Muzaffarnagar district. An expenditure of INR 295.47 lacs is likely to be incurred on this project. NIRAJ GOEL EXECUTIVE ENGINEER ETD, MUZAFFARNAGAR
