TRAVEL INFORMATION MANUAL
MANDATORY CONDITIONS
Traveling on duty : The INTERPOL Travel Document
shall be used by authorized officials only when
carrying out official duties on INTERPOL-related
matters.
With a valid national passport : The INTERPOL
Travel Document shall always be presented in
conjunction with a national passport that is valid
for the duration required by the country concerned
(e.g. duration of mission or 6 months).
TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Format : The INTERPOL Travel Document exists in
two formats: e-Passport Booklet and e-
Identification Card (e-ID Card). Member countries
may accept one or both formats of the Document.
Visa exemption : Document holders are exempted
from needing a visa.
Visa upon arrival : Document holders are
automatically issued a visa prior to or upon arrival
in the country concerned.
Transit visa : Document holders are required to
obtain a transit-visa when transiting in countries
which do not accept INTERPOL Travel Documents.
No additional privileges or immunities : The
INTERPOL Travel Document does not grant to its
holders any additional privileges or immunities that
might otherwise already be enjoyed.
Additional specific conditions of use : Holders
must comply with any additional conditions
attached to the use of the document specified by
the member country concerned (e.g. the obligation
to provide an official letter of invitation issued by
the receiving member country).

 Member countries accepting the INTERPOL Travel Document
Afghanistan
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
15 day visa upon arrival at Kabul airport (KBL) at no
cost, provided holding evidence that NCB Kabul has
been notified in advance of intent to travel. Travel
documents must be valid for at least six months
beyond the date of arrival.
Albania
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa exemption for a maximum stay of 90 days,
provided holding an invitation letter issued by NCB
Tirana. Travel documents must be valid for at least
three months beyond the date of arrival.
Algeria
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Expedited visa. Travel documents must be valid for
at least six months beyond the date of arrival.
Andorra
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa waiver. Travel documents must be valid on
arrival.
Argentina
Only INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet accepted. Visa
exemption for a maximum stay of 90 days. Travel
documents must be valid for at least 90 days
beyond the date of arrival.
Armenia
Only INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet accepted. Visa
exemption. Travel documents must be valid for the
period of intended stay.
Belarus
Only INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet accepted. Visa
exemption. Maximum stay of 90 days per calendar
year, provided holding an invitation letter issued by
Belarus authorities. Travel documents must be valid
on arrival.
Benin
Both INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet and e-ID Card
required. Visa exemption, provided holding an
invitation letter issued by NCB Cotonou. Travel
documents must be valid on arrival.
Botswana
Only INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet accepted. Visa
exemption. Travel documents must be valid on
arrival.
Brazil
Only INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet accepted. Visa
required, issued at no cost. Travel documents must
be valid for the period of intended stay.
Burkina Faso
Only INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet accepted. Visa
upon arrival at no cost, provided holding one
passport photo and evidence that NCB
Ouagadougou has been notified in advance of
intent to travel. Travel documents must be valid for
the period of intended stay.
Burundi
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa upon arrival. Travel documents must be valid
on arrival.
Cambodia
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa exemption for a maximum stay of 30 days.
Travel documents must be valid for at least six
months beyond the date of arrival.
Cameroon
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa exemption. Travel documents must be valid on
arrival.

months. Travel documents must be valid on arrival.
Congo
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa upon arrival. Travel documents must be valid
on arrival.
Cte dIvoire
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa exemption, provided holding an invitation
letter issued by NCB Abidjan. Travel documents
must be valid for at least six months beyond the
period of intended stay.
Democratic Republic of Congo
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa exemption for holders of the e-Passport
Booklet. Visa upon arrival for holders of the e-ID
Card. Travel documents must be valid for the period
of intended stay.
Egypt
Only INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet accepted. Visa
upon arrival for a maximum stay of one month.
Travel documents must be valid for at least six
months beyond the date of arrival.
Fiji
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa exemption. Travel documents must be valid for
at least three months beyond the period of
intended stay.
France
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa exemption for a maximum stay of three
months. Travel documents must be valid on arrival.
Gabon
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa upon arrival at no cost, provided holding an
invitation letter issued by national authorities of
Gabon.
Georgia
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa exemption, provided holding an invitation
letter issued by NCB Tbilisi. Travel documents must
be valid for at least three months beyond the period
of intended stay.
Grenada
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa exemption. Travel documents must be valid on
arrival.
Jordan
Only INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet accepted. Visa
upon arrival, provided holding evidence that NCB
Amman has granted approval prior to travel. Travel
documents must be valid for at least three months
beyond the date of arrival.
Libya
Only INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet accepted. Visa
upon arrival at no cost, provided holding prior
authorization from NCB Tripoli, and the Libyan
Immigration headquarters has submitted an
approval to the arrival airport immigration. Travel
documents must be valid for at least three months
beyond the date of arrival.
Madagascar
Only INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet accepted. Visa
upon arrival, provided holding an invitation letter
specifying purpose of mission and evidence that
NCB Antananarivo has been informed at least one
week in advance of intent to travel. Travel
documents must be valid for at least six months
beyond the date of arrival.

Maldives
Only INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet accepted. Visa
upon arrival at no cost issued for the duration of the
mission, provided holding an invitation letter issued
by Maldives authorities. Travel documents must be
valid for the period of intended stay.
Mauritius
Only INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet accepted. Visa
exemption. Travel documents must be valid for the
period of intended stay.
Monaco
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa exemption for a maximum stay of three
months. Travel documents must be valid on arrival.
Montenegro
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa exemption for a maximum stay of 90 days.
Travel documents must be valid for at least three
months beyond the period of intended stay.
Nepal
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa exemption. Travel documents must be valid on
arrival.
Pakistan
Only INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet accepted. Visa
exemption for a maximum stay of 72 hours. Further
extension granted by the Ministry of the Interior, if
required. Travel documents must be valid on arrival.
Qatar
Only INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet accepted. Visa
exemption, provided holding an invitation letter
issued by NCB Doha or by Qatari authorities. Travel
documents must be valid on arrival.
Rwanda
Only INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet accepted. Visa
exemption. Travel documents must be valid for at
least six months beyond the date of arrival.
Senegal
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa exemption. Travel documents must be valid for
at least three months beyond the date of arrival.
Seychelles
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa exemption. Travel documents must be valid for
the period of intended stay.
Sierra Leone
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa exemption for a maximum stay of three
months. Travel documents must be valid on arrival.
Singapore
Multiple Journey Visa of up to five years granted to
holders of INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID
Card. Holders must apply and submit the necessary
documents to NCB Singapore and obtain the e-visa
prior to travel.
South Sudan
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Visa upon arrival.
Sudan
INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.
Pre-arranged visa upon arrival for $100, provided
holder submitted visa application to Immigration
Office prior to travel, received visa confirmation
number, and holding an invitation letter issued by
NCB Khartoum. Travel documents must be valid for
at least six months beyond the date of arrival.

Tanzania

Only INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet accepted. Visa

upon arrival. Travel documents must be valid for at
least six months beyond the date of arrival.

Togo

INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.

Visa upon arrival at no cost, provided holding an
invitation letter issued by NCB Lom or Togo
authorities. Travel documents must be valid on
arrival.

Uruguay

INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.

Visa exemption. Travel documents must be valid on
arrival.

Yemen

INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet or e-ID Card accepted.

Visa exemption. Travel documents must be valid on
arrival.

Zimbabwe

Only INTERPOL e-Passport Booklet accepted. Visa

upon arrival. Travel documents must be valid for the
period of intended stay.
