To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing on behalf of Mr. Anthony Hodshire, senior at Western High School. I have had the pleasure of
teaching Anthony in Individualized Literature, English 11, and English 12.. Throughout our interactions together,
Anthony has impressed me as an intelligent, creative young man with a penchant for the arts and thinking outside
the box. Anthony has a magnetic personality, which lends to his natural leadership ability.

In class, I am impressed with Anthonys ability to be a critical thinker. He challenges others in their thinking and
adds a valued perspective to class discussions. As a writer, Anthony has a natural ability. He offers keen insight and
understands the nuances of language and structure.

More than anything, Anthony shines when he is able to be creative. When he was a student in my Individualized
Literature class, he asked if he could create a short film to demonstrate his understanding of a novel he read rather
than the assigned PowerPoint presentation. He created an artistic and thorough presentation that went above and
beyond what he was required to do. During our Snowfest Spirit Week this year, he took on the task of creating both
the senior class and teacher video shown at our formal assembly.

He takes classes that help nurture this passion for creativity, such as Art of Film Studies, Debate, and Choir.
Anthony is also a valued member of our schools theater arts program. He is consistently awarded the lead role in
our schools plays and musicals. He is a natural on stage, with a clear confidence and ability to capture an
audiences attention. Anthony is also a gifted musician and has been a member our schools choir program all four
years of his high school career.

Finally, Anthony has a magnetic personality that draws people in. Because of this, he is a natural leader among his
classmates. People pay attention when Anthony speaks. He is definitely a people person and is not afraid to take
charge when a situation calls for it.

It has been an honor to be a part of Anthonys education. Anthonys artistic and creative talents, along with his
natural leadership abilities will serve him will in the future. I am confident he will be met with success in whatever
endeavors he chooses to pursue.
